Monopol®-456

Engineered Concrete Coating System for Anti-corrosive and Anti-Carbonation Applications in Moderate to Aggressive Environments
Monopol®-456 is a concrete specific coating system that provides protection against chloride ion penetration, carbonation, UV radiations and weathering effects.
Monopol®-456 has excellent crack bridging ability and excellent biological resistance.
Application Procedure
  • Thoroughly clean the surface by mechanical means or by sweep sand blasting to remove residual dust, oil and depositions, depending on the site conditions. Seal all the cracks, crevices, surface blemishes with polymer putty prior to application
  • Stir & apply Monopol®-456 by brush/spray/roller over the prepared surface and allow it to cure for minimum 2 hours prior to applications of subsequent coats. Monopol®-456 coat shall be vigorously stirred before application

MONOPOL®-456-HB

Elastomeric, Anti-Carbonation, Anti Corrosive, UV Resistant, Waterbased Aliphatic Acrylic Coating System
  • Concrete substrate shall be free from loose particles, dust incrustations and solidified cement lines or other deposits
  • The concrete surface shall be free from residual amount of mould releasing agents, curing compounds and oily residues using suitable organic solvents. Surface preparations shall be by using coarse wire brushes or by mechanical grinders attached with cup wire brushes
  • MONOPOL®-456-HB coatings shall be applied on fully cured concrete
  • Surface be completely dried prior to application of MONOPOL®-456-HB based coatings
  • Apply the coating by brush, airless spray or Greco spray
  • There shall not be any dust deposition in between the application of two coats. Wipe the surface with clean cloth in case there is dust deposition

Monopol®-456-S

Silane Siloxane Penetrative Primer for Concrete and Masonry
Monopol®-456-S consists of reactive hydrophobic silane-siloxane with a very high degree of penetrative action. It works by penetrating into the pores of concrete and reacting with the existing water vapour to form hydrophobic polysiloxane lining to the pore capillaries.
Application Procedure
  • Thoroughly clean the substrate with the coarse wire brushes and wipe the dust, cementatious incrustation etc with a clean cloth or compressed air. Remove curing compound grease etc using clean water and detergents
  • Apply by brush or spray
  • Avoid application during high winds and hot hours especially in summers
  • Subsequent coating can be applied immediately
  • Keep the container away from direct heat or sunlight

Monopol®333-W

Silane-Siloxane based Sealer Impregnator
Water repellent coating to external masonry, concrete, sandstone surfaces. Monopol®333-W is a unique formulation based on sealer/impregnator technique.
Monopol®333-W is UV resistant, clear and retains the texture and color of substrate besides being water impermeable.
SURFACE PREPARATION
  • The substrate must be free from grease, carbon depositions, dust, oily residues etc. Thoroughly clean the substrate with aggressive waterjetting. Use detergents to remove oily stains, but ensure total removal of detergent with heavy water washing. The substrate must be dry prior to the application of Monopol®333-W.
Application Procedure
  • By Brush / Roller / Spray
  • Apply minimum 1 coat
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
  • Keep the container away from heat, smoke, naked flame etc. Wear safety eyewear and handgloves during application. Provide proper ventilation and suitable facemask while applying in confined areas

EPCO®-2020-TX

Anti-corrosive, chemically resistant coal tar extended epoxy coating (EPRB) system for below & above waterline application (Normal Wet & Underwater Application)
Excellent adhesion, Excellent chemical resistance. Excellent resistance against chlorides, sulphates and subsoil contaminants.
Application Procedure
  • Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean the substrate to remove the dust, harderned cement slurry, Oily residues etc. by scrubbing with coarse wire brushes/grinding/chipping off the top layer/sweep blasting methods depending on site requirements. Ensure residual amounts of demoulding agents, curing agents, inhibitor residues are thoroughly removed
  • Prior to EPCO®-2020-TX application, seal all the cracks, crevices, joint etc. with EPCO-1010® sealant. Mix EPCO®-2020-TX base & curing agent in prescribed proportion by weight and allow it to remain for 10 minutes. Apply minimum TWO COATS of EPCO®-2020-TX on the surface keeping minimum 4 hours time interval between them. Smoking, naked flame or light should not be allowed during application or in the area of storage

IPNet®

Interpenetrating Polymer Network Concrete Coating System
Interpenetrating Polymer Network Coating System is a novel type of polymer formulation consisting of more than two polymers cross linked in the network form by synthesis. The morphology studies conducted at CBRI, Roorkee using Scanning Electron Microscopy & Differential Scanning Calorimetry have proved the efficacy of IPNet® systems with respect to Chemical Resistance, Weather Resistance, Tensile Strength, Flexibility, Shear Strength & Hardness Properties.
Application Procedure
  • Surface Preparation: Clean the concrete surface by chipping/wire brushing and remove all loose particles, dust, oil stains, residual curing agents, demoulding agents. Prior to IPNet® application, seal all the cracks, joints etc. with putty made up of IPNet® Primer and silica flour
  • Application: Mix IPNet® Base and Curing Agent in the prescribed proportion by volume thoroughly and allow it to remain in the container for 10 minutes. Apply respective coat of IPNet® keeping time interlag of minimum 24 hours between each coat and allow the system to cure in air for 24 hours prior to use
